A MENTOR WHO TREATED ME LIKE FAMILY
I will always remember Dr. Priya Ranjan not only as the Chairman of JK Monitor, but as a mentor, guide and elder brother whose kindness shaped my life and work.
When he appointed me Editor-in-Chief of JK Monitor (www.jkmonitor.org), he never made me feel like an employee. He treated me as a younger brother—with warmth, trust and respect. His guidance was generous, his encouragement sincere, and his door was always open whenever I needed help or advice. I will remain deeply grateful for the confidence he placed in me and for all that he taught me.
Dr. Ranjan was a rare and noble human being: kind-hearted, humble and always ready to help. He was also a visionary intellectual whose ideas reached beyond the immediate moment. He brought together deep knowledge, curiosity and a belief in using one’s abilities to make a meaningful difference.
The tributes from his students and colleagues speak of the same qualities I was fortunate to experience myself: a brilliant mind joined with a compassionate heart, and a mentor who made people feel valued. His influence lives on in the people he guided, the work he inspired and the many lives he touched.
For me, he will always be more than a respected chairman or a remarkable intellectual. He will be the elder brother who welcomed me, believed in me and guided me with affection. I will carry his lessons and his kindness with me always.
May his soul rest in eternal peace. He will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered and never forgotten.

I can not express, how much I enjoyed the company of Prof Priya Ranjan. A person who was always dedicated to mathematics and science. Always working on the gross root level, he introduced me to few amazing students from class 10 and 12 and they needed support with there math, always helping a socialist but not blinded by the ideology and belief. And a person who always stood by his belief not just a meer preacher but the real practitioner of the belief. You have created a void and no one can fill it. Meet you in next life again guru ji.

My Mentor, Senior, and Teacher

I still remember when some student and Dr. Reva Sir at Mody told me, “You know Prof. Ranjan sir?
He came from Maryland - so simple, kind, and humble, always walking or cycling.”

I said, “Yes, I know Sir.”

Once we planned to launch an Podcast Channel for Education Purpose and shared their verious International and National experiences. but later decided to begin with a webinar. Our conversations soon went beyond work - AI, media and communication, my plans to pursue a PhD abroad, and many lessons from his life and experiences.

Though Sir left the university before I could meet him again, his thoughts and guidance will always stay with me.

Rest in peace, Sir. A truly pure and kind soul. May God give strength to his family during this difficult time. 🙏

Straight-forward, humble, without any pretense. Unabridged at times and easily accessible. Further, I have heard that he lived life as a freeman. Will miss being unable to have more conversations. ॐ शान्ति 🌸

We miss Prof. Priya Ranjan. Both of us were colleagues at SRM University AP. He was pure hearted, highly energetic and reserch passionate, he loves working with students a lot. We pray that his soul will be blessed with true peace by the almighty.

Great teacher and researchers

I may not have known you very well, Sir, but every time we met, your smile and your words, “Kaise ho, beta?” made me feel special. I always wished to work with you someday, but sadly, that wish will remain unfulfilled. You will always be remembered. Rest in peace, Sir. 🕊️
